Our Firm’s History

Attorney Jordan N. Lindsey graduated from Detroit Mercy Law School, Cum Laude in 2018, where she was the first and only graduate to receive the family and juvenile law certificate. Attorney Lindsey also has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University, and attended Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. 

 

Attorney Lindsey has practiced throughout the State of Michigan in family law, juvenile law, criminal law, estate planning, probate law, and civil litigation. Fierce in the courtroom - when a situation calls for jumping into conflict, she doesn't hesitate to fight for her clients. Her competitive nature drives her to always strive to win.

 

Instinctively empathetic and warmhearted, Jordan first seeks resolution and amicable agreement when possible, recognizing that there is little to be gained for her clients from ongoing tension and conflict. Jordan is talented at understanding complex emotional and legal situations, hearing the unspoken questions/concerns of her clients, anticipating their needs, and using the right words and tone with them. Jordan has a passion for advocating for survivors of domestic violence and volunteers her time serving on boards for the Women Lawyers’ Association – Tip of the Mitt Region and the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic in Detroit, Michigan, where she has provided countless hours of assistance to the community in need. Attorney Lindsey also received the national ranking by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as one of 2020's Top 10 Under 40 Family Lawyers in the State of Michigan.

 

Jordan relocated from Metro Detroit, where she grew up, and is proud to call Northern Michigan her home. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her two Dalmatians, Louie and Nowell, who you might meet at our office, as they are both valued "pawscociates" here at Lindsey Law!

Louie ("Lou Dog") Lindsey

Louie Pongo Lindsey ("Lou dog"), is a five-year-old dalmatian, and joined the firm's team upon his adoption by Attorney Lindsey in January, 2020. Not only is Louie the official firm mascot for Lindsey Law, but he also excels in his position as Emotional Support Team Lead.

We know that divorce and custody matters can be emotionally trying, and find that Louie's presence helps bring comfort and joy to clients during such difficult times. Whether stopping by the office or logging into a virtual appointment, Lou dog will be there to greet you with loving paws!

NOWELL ("NOIE") LINDSEY

Nowell ("NOIE") Lindsey

Nowell Lindsey ("Noie") is Louie's little sister, best friend, and second favorite member of the LINDSEY LAW team, after his mom, of course!
